Skrova – The Pearl ofNature in Lofoten

On the island of Skrova, you can enjoy more sunshine than anywhere else in Lofoten, with white beaches reminiscent of Hawaii. The island has a mild climate and around 200inhabitants, making it a perfect retreat for relaxation and nature experiences. Skrova is located in Vestfjorden, just a short 30-minute ferry ride from Svolvær. From Bodø, you can reach the island by express boat in three hours. And the ferry for passengers? It’s completely free!

Easy Access andSpectacular Nature

Traveling by car? You can take the ferry from Skutvik or Svolvær. The nearest airports are in Svolvær, Evenes, or Bodø, making the island easily accessible by any means of transport. Skrova has less rainfall than the rest of Lofoten, and the island’s nature is both lush and wild. Skrovafjellet, the island’s highest point at 283 meters, offers stunning views of the Lofoten mountains and Steigen – a hike anyone can manage!

The Rorbu Cabin –Comfort and Facilities

Our Rorbu Cabin is located on a large private pier with its own floating dock, perfect if you have a boat. You can also rent our fishing boat "Perla" if you have a boat license and wish to try your luck fishing. For the adventurous, we offer four sturdy sea-kayaks for rent.

The cabin accommodates 8 people and is well-maintained to ensure a comfortable stay. On the ground floor, you’ll find the entrance, hallway, bathroom, laundry room, and an open-plan living-room/kitchen. The living room opens directly onto the pier, where you can enjoy stunning views of the harbor. On the second floor, there’s a hallway and four-bedrooms.

Activities andExperiences on Skrova

Skrova offers white sandy beaches, beautiful hiking trails, and is renowned for its fantastic sea kayaking opportunities. In the spring, it’s a paradise for Lofoten fishing, including the World Championship in cod fishing in March. In the autumn and winter, you can experience the magical Northern Lights dancing over the island.

For art lovers, the island has permanent outdoor photo exhibitions, as well as galleries. Visit the legendary Fotobryggaand enjoy food and drinks at Skrova Brygga.
